Top 5 Free Events for the 2018 Super Bowl

Super Bowl LII is almost here! And even though the Vikings didn’t make it to this year’s big game, we can all still look forward to a lot of Super Bowl fun in the coming days. The 10-day long Super Bowl festivities kick off Friday, January 26th!

With so many activities and events surrounding the Super Bowl, the game can leave a lot of questions for not only Minneapolis Residents, but the entire Twin Cities. Here is a brief update on what you need to know before the 52nd Super Bowl.


Super Bowl related activities in the Twin Cities are starting this Friday! With so many to choose from, it’s hard to know where to begin. Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon, on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis, will be the site for the 10-day long fan festival that is free and open to the public. It will include free live concerts, national broadcast activations, food and more!

Here are our Top 5 Free events for the Super Bowl:

  1. Looking for a fun way to see Downtown Minneapolis? At Super Bowl Live you can hop on a Built Ford Tough Sleigh Ride. The Sleigh stops on 8th Street (at Marquette), and 12th street (at 2nd Avenue) and runs January 26th – February 4th.
  2. Super Hats & Mittens Interactive Event is the perfect activity for the whole family! Activities include making hats and mittens from fleece, live sheep petting zoo, balloon hats, a photo booth, musical entertainment, readings and book signing, and more!

  4. Radio Row is a free Fan Gallery that offers a unique opportunity for fans to watch broadcasters, professional athletes and guest celebrities in action during Super Bowl week. Stop by The Mall of America January 29th – February 3rd to be a part of the action.
  5. Stop by Polaris UpsideDowntown on February 3rd from 10am-10pm for snowmobile stunts, meet and greets with snow athletes, giveaways and other outdoor fun!
