NOT HAPPENING

December 14, 2016 by Kelly Guest

It’s a common belief that the real estate market slows down during the winter. A lot of people looking for homes last Spring and Summer were wishing things would slow down because there was a shortage of property on the market, competition for homes for sale and multiple offer situations that drove prices up.

Our friends and colleagues in the suburbs are talking about the fact that “the summer market is over,” but here at Downtown Resource Group, it’s not happening.

Michael Dilks handles New Client Relations here at DRG and talks to scores of people who visit our website, search for lofts and condos and have questions about downtown. Even though the holiday season is in full swing, Michael hasn’t seen a slowdown in the amount of traffic or interest in the urban lifestyle, saying “I’m still talking to and fielding questions from the same number of people each week now as I have over the past several months. I haven’t noticed a shift at all.” When it comes to downtown Minneapolis and urban living, don’t let the seasons fool you.

Downtown Minneapolis and the urban areas we work differ more than just geographically from the rest of the metro area and it goes far beyond the difference between single family homes and high density loft and condo buildings. We at DRG are dialed in to the many factors that drive our urban market and are immersed daily in the goings on that drive interest, sales and activity. We’re your source to find out what’s happening downtown in real time. ~DRG
