July 2, 2020 by DRG

Wondering what’s happening in Minneapolis this Independence Day? Check out how you can still celebrate the 4th of July, even if it’s from home!

Tangletown Fourth of July Celebration

The annual tradition of the Tangletown 4th of July parade and celebration will be put on hold this year and focus on creating a neighborhood celebration. Residents will be encouraged to decorate their homes, sidewalks and yards, while neighbors and visitors can walk the streets and enjoy the decorations. There will even be a neighborhood scavenger hunt you can complete along the way! Learn more here.

Red, White & Boom Run

With the Red, White & Boom race going virtual this year, celebrations will look a little different. With fun gear and participant gift, you can build your own unique race day experience right at home. There will also be fun social media challenges to take part in, as well as activities with the race’s partner, Summit Brewing Company to look forward to. Register here!

Due to COVID-19, the Minneapolis Red, White and Boom 4th of July fireworks Event has been cancelled this year. For more information, visit the Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board website.
