Joe Grunnet, founder of Downtown Resource Group, has a district focus on the Minneapolis Condo Market that can’t be rivaled. While he may be a Chicago-area native, Joe felt immediately at home in downtown Minneapolis due to its electrifying spirit paired with the stylish condos and lofts indigenous to the area. Since DRG opened their doors in 2007, Joe has passionately committed to showing others what he’s experienced for himself: Minneapolis is the perfect setting to live, work, play and build meaningful relationships.
Joe’s enthusiasm for the urban market coupled with his desire to be a true resource for those seeking the ultimate metropolitan lifestyle is the basis for his mission provide expert guidance to buyers, sellers, landlords and renters. Joe has assembled a team of genuine specialists who truly understand all facets of making the most of living – and owning – the downtown dream.
Aside from his role as DRG’s owner, Joe works closely with both buyers and sellers on a daily basis. This hands-on approach has created an environment for DRG to thrive. DRG has an average sales growth rate of 23.4% over the last 5 years, DRG ended 2018 with a sales volume of $141,038,237. This growth has helped Joe and DRG to confirm their status of the #1 Market Share in Minneapolis. In addition, DRG has also led over 15 successful Condo projects over the last 11 years. Most notably, DRG was able to tactfully reposition The Ivy Residences Project to ensure that all properties sold.
Through DRG’s commitment to give back to the community, they are also involved in or hosts their own larger community and charitable events including Feed my Starving Children, Habitat for Humanity, North Loop Fest and Best Christmas Ever. In addition, they participate in or contributes to a handful of others: North Loop Cleanup, Leukemia Society, Cakes for Grace, Not in Our City 5K, Twin City Gay Men’s Chorus, Special Olympics, and MN Endo Warriors are some of the charities from 2018.

"Joe just listed and sold my condo in Downtown East. This is the second property he has sold for me and he has also found two renters for my rental properties. I would always turn to Joe and DRG when selling and renting in the urban core. He knows the market, is very professional and is extremely personable. The sale went very smoothly. Joe negotiated a great sale price for me."
Peter (North Loop, Minneapolis)
"Joe and his team are great to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable about the Minneapolis market, particularly the downtown condo market which I was focused on. They have always been very responsive with all of my questions, which were many when we first started working together as I was a first time homeowner. Joe took a lot of time to explain the process with me during my purchase and has since met with me to explain the process of buying additional properties for investments. I highly recommend working with Joe and his team!"
Molly (Downtown East, Minneapolis)
"Joe recently helped me sell my condo in Minneapolis. I cannot say enough about the exceptional level of service that I received. There was a misunderstanding with the buyer that Joe handled with the utmost efficiency and professionalism and with my best interest in mind. I highly, highly recommend Joe if you are looking to sell."
