Agent Spotlight: Lauren BeyersMay 9, 2018 by Maggie Kobele
Lauren has been in the real estate world for a couple of years and recently became a licensed agent. She started working at DRG a few years ago alongside Joe Grunnet and learned the in’s and out’s of the urban market and what it takes to be successful. After gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge she decided to take her career to the next level by becoming a licensed Realtor. Becoming an agent was due to three main reasons: design, development and helping others. She loves listening to what gets clients excited about their living space and creating the best options for them.
DRG: What do you love most about the Minneapolis Urban Market?
Lauren Beyers: I love the various styles that are created based on building structure, micro-cultures and personal style. The lofted and industrial construction allows for occupants to create an unlimited amount of settings and vibes.
DRG: If you had an unlimited amount of money, what would be your dream home?
Lauren Beyers: I appreciate efficient uses of space and would have two modest dream homes: summertime would be spent in a townhome on the river-side for easy access to running paths. Open floor plan with light finishes, natural wood and lots of windows. Wintertime would be a home on the beach in Pismo, California with luxury finishes, indoor/outdoor living spaces and room for guests. Both would feature large, open kitchens, overstuffed furniture and warm lighting.
DRG: Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me...?
Lauren Beyers: Sundays are usually my day to re-boot. I sleep in, workout, make brunch and catch up on tasks I couldn’t accomplish the week before. Rarely do my Sunday mornings include make-up or jeans.
DRG: What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Lauren Beyers: Being with the people (and dog) that I love most. Whether it’s cozying-up with my boyfriend on the couch to watch This is Us, working out at LifeTime fitness or grabbing a happy hour with a friend to catch up. Our support groups are so important and I am committed to being available for the times we need/want it.
DRG: How do you stay involved in your community?
Lauren Beyers: I love finding local events happening in the metro area from Facebook and dragging someone with. What’s great about Minneapolis/St Paul is being able to experience things that open my mind to a concept I wouldn’t normally explore.
DRG: What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
Lauren Beyers: I think it’s really easy to get caught in a mental picture of exactly what you want. I don’t ever want to be the person to push a sale by sacrificing the clients wants but I find myself creating solutions alongside their requests to fit their desires. At the end of the day, my main goal is for my clients to open the door to their home each day and feel enjoyment. We all deserve that!
DRG: What is your proudest achievement to date?
Lauren Beyers: Moving across the country at the age of 19 to experience life on my own. It was really hard and I struggled for (what seemed like) forever but with persistence, hard work and drive I created a wonderful lifestyle that a lot would never get to experience. The lessons I learned are invaluable, but I am loving being closer to family.
DRG: Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Lauren Beyers: My ideal client is one that is open to a conversation with me; I can’t put any other factors on it. Regardless if your budget is $150,00 or $1,500,000 I want to work with you to find a home you are excited to go to every day. If selling, I want to help find the best way to get you top dollar. It’s a simple concept, but it works best.
